My sister called me up to tell me how her doctor's visit went. I was anxiously awaiting to see how things turned out. She was excited about the idea of getting a hair transplant. She said she's just glad there are options like that. She told me she's been getting a bit tired of the wigs. She said that they're nice, but that they also have their limitations. She started confiding in me about this one incident that happened during an intimate moment she was trying to have with a date. I guess they were getting very close and he ran his fingers through her hair and, instead of enjoying the moment, she said she felt this wave of panic wash over her. Fortunately, the wig didn't come off but she said until that moment she hadn't really even thought about something like that happening. I also know she used to be an avid swimmer and since wearing the wigs she hasn't been to the public pools anymore. I really wish this was something she didn't have to worry about. She's been through so many ups and downs with her hair loss. I told her I was excited for her. I think this could be a really positive change for her! She deserves to be happy.
