BOARDING IN BRECKENRIDGE
I needed a vacation. Who can blame me? I work 70 hours a week, while trying to juggle different volunteering and social activities on the side. I booked a whole week in Breckenridge. To some people, this might not be a vacation. My friends have asked me why not go to Cancun or The Bahamas? You live in Chicago, why would you go someplace even colder? My only answer is a picture of Breckenridge; it’s gorgeous with white powder constantly falling, a snowboarders dream. So I packed up all of my winter gear, including my brand new Burton Snowboard and boarding pants. I couldn’t have been happier on top of the mountain with the snow falling inches at a time. I was having a problem keeping my glasses on underneath my goggles so halfway down the mountain I stopped at a bungalow for some hot chocolate (there might have been a pinch of Bailey’s in it!). As I was relaxing by a campfire I noticed a billboard down the mountain a little ways advertising Lasik in Denver. What a brilliant place to put that billboard. It made me wonder if I should get lasik, which I'm sure was their intention. Imagine, snowboarding without having to deal with the hassle of my glasses.
